If you remember, a month or so ago, I let you all know that I was writting a new song called, "Four Leaf Clovers and Falling Stars". Well, I finally got around to recording live for you. It took me around 14 takes or so to get through the entire song to my liking. It can be exhausting singing the song over and over again. My fingertips were raw from the pressing the guitar strings for over an hour straight. But it's all part of the fun! I love my guitar callouses! :) ew? nah!
I wrote the song Four Leaf Clovers and Falling Stars while thinking about we live our lives. 2014 has been both a struggle and blessing for me. I lost my day job which was quite a blow to my confidence and my bank account. But I was able to use that time to write better songs and record a number of them for you. So I was thinking about my life and its direction I prayed to God and though about wishing on four leaf clovers. I even saw 2 falling stars in one night when I was driving home from a friends house. One of the stars was pink in color and lasted for a blink of an eye, and other was green and lasted for at least 2 seconds. They were amazing and awe inspiring. When we go through the many struggles in life we also experience some joys. The ups and downs of life keep us alive and challenge us. I hope you enjoy this song and share it with your friends.
As you may have noticed, my first song recording were posted on YouTube as just songs. I was recording the songs on MixCraft 6 (an audio recording software) because I loved the way I could change or enhance the quality of the song. The only problem I found, was that you couldn't see me. I am known for making funny faces, as I am a drama queen. I wanted to change up my style for you who come to my site and follow me on YouTube.
If you watch the entire video through the end, you'll notice that the final recording I'm wearing a different top - the first one I recorded in made me blend into the background. Also, there is a "Bloopers" reel at the end for your enjoyment.
You all help inspire my dreams!
Hey Guys! thank you for stopping in! I'm totes excited to have you here! (That's hipster for Totally)
